When the Mermaids Are Calling…

I’m not quite sure what captured Lady’s attention but it certainly looks like the mermaids were calling!

This was taken on our morning beach walk. I’ve been trying to make the most of these gloriously sunny Autumn days. It’s been a bit chilly but after the storms a few weeks back, we’ve been particularly blessed!!

    Just some other possible interpretations:
    “There’s food up there somewhere”
“I hear the sound of a biscuit bag being opened!”
“What are they doing on my beach?”
“I need to poop! Can’t do it here!”

I think it could well have been: “What are they doing on my beach?”
Lady thinks she rules the world and she’s quite often right!

Thanks, Laurie. I was pretty stoked with it. Dogs are quite difficult to photograph and it all just came together in this shot. I can assure you I went through a few to get this xx Rowena

What a cute puppy! Other possible interpretations: ‘Wonder if I can chase that bird?’ ‘What’s that I smell?’ and ‘Take the picture, Mom. I can’t sit here looking enigmatically into the distance forever!’
    Nice pooch.

Chase that bird??? We’ve only had Lady about 6 months and we were forewarned that she enjoyed a bit of hunting. She comes from a farm and is used to the country life, which means that dinner or even snacks for that matter, didn’t always come “packaged”. She found a rabbit beside the road and left me in no doubt that she’d had rabbit before. She is currently in time out for helping herself to the lamb shank from the bin!!
