Any fool can destroy trees. They cannot defend themselves or run away. And few destroyers of trees ever plant any; nor can planting avail much toward restoring our grand aboriginal giants. It took more than three thousand years to make some of the oldest of the Sequoias, trees that are still standing in perfect strength […]
Redwoods are amazing. I loved hugging on in New Zealand.
I didn’t realise they were in New Zealand. I went through 20 rolls of film on our honeymoon in New Zealand and I remember some huge trees. I’ve also been through WA around Pemberton and the trees there were giants…so magestic. I should have hugged a few of those trees although the number of photographs definitely reflects my passion.
Did you see what might called house trucks driving around New Zealand? They were trucks used for camping and I think decked out with a hous eon top. My memory is struggling to remember them clearly and need to get the photo album out again.
The Redwood forest is in Rotorua. Sorry don’t have any memory of the house trucks.
Here’s a link: to a house truck. They’re quite something http://s11.photobucket.com/user/RobRyan7/media/KenworthHousetruck.jpg.html
